Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 June 2026
Your trust matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains, in plain language, what personal information Paintalo Group collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Paintalo Group (ABN 18 661 089 916), a residential and commercial painting business based in North Sydney / Lane Cove, NSW, Australia (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information openly and transparently.
This policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose and protect your personal information when you visit paintalo.com.au, request a quote, or otherwise deal with us. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. The information we collect
We only collect information we genuinely need to help you. This includes:
Information you give us
When you complete our quote/contact form, call, email or message us, we may collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- The service you’re interested in (e.g. interior, exterior, commercial, strata, heritage, cabinets)
- Details of your project and any message you send us
- Your preferred method of contact
- The property address or service location, where you choose to provide it so we can quote
Information we collect automatically
When you browse the site, our analytics and advertising tools may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view, the page that referred you, and how you interact with the site. Some of this is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 6).
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information (such as health, racial, or financial account information) through this website, and we ask that you do not send it to us through the contact form.
3. How we use your information
We use the personal information we collect to:
- Respond to your enquiry and answer your questions
- Prepare and provide quotes and estimates
- Schedule site visits and carry out the painting work you engage us for
- Communicate with you about your project, including reminders and follow-ups
- Manage our customer records and run our business
- With your consent, send you occasional marketing or promotional offers (you can opt out at any time — see section 7)
- Understand how our website is used so we can improve it
- Meet our legal, tax and regulatory obligations
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We only share it where necessary to run our business, and with providers who are bound to protect it. These include:
- Our customer relationship management (CRM) platform — when you submit the contact form, your details are sent to and stored in our CRM (GoHighLevel / LeadConnector) so our team can follow up with you.
- Analytics providers — we use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to understand site usage in aggregate.
- Advertising platforms — we use the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel and Google Ads to measure and improve our advertising. These may record that you submitted an enquiry.
- Embedded services — our pages embed Google Maps and Google Fonts, which load content from Google’s servers.
- Hosting and IT providers — who host the website and store our data securely on our behalf.
- Trusted subcontractors — only the minimum details needed to carry out work you have engaged us for.
- Where required by law — to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or to protect our rights.
Overseas disclosure
Some of the providers above (including our CRM, Google and Meta) store and process data on servers located outside Australia, such as in the United States. Where we disclose your information to overseas recipients, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the APPs.
5. How we store and protect your information
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. The contact form is submitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and access to our records is limited to people who need it to do their job.
We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described above, or as required by law, after which we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it. No method of transmission over the internet is ever completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Cookies & tracking technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We and our providers use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, measure traffic, and support our advertising (including the Google Analytics and Meta Pixel tools mentioned above).
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of much interest-based advertising through tools such as your Google Ads settings, the Meta ad preferences in your Facebook account, and youronlinechoices.com.au. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.
7. Direct marketing & your choices
If you have given us your details, we may occasionally contact you with offers or news we think you’ll find useful. You can opt out at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in an email, replying to ask us to stop, or emailing us at contact@paintalo.com.au. We will action your request promptly.
8. Accessing & correcting your information
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. To make a request, contact us using the details in section 11. We will respond within a reasonable time. In most cases this is free; if a request is complex we may let you know of any reasonable cost before proceeding.
9. Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first (section 11) so we can try to resolve it. We take complaints seriously and will respond promptly.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
10. Children, third-party links & changes
Our services are directed at property owners and businesses, not children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Our website may contain links to third-party websites (for example, our Google or social media profiles). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites — please review their policies separately.
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The latest version will always be published on this page, with the “Last updated” date above.
